Industrial Exhibition

An Industrial Exhibition will be held in conjunction with the conference. Organisations involved in the areas associated with the overall theme of the Meeting wishing to display equipment, instrumentation, products, etc are invited to participate. Exhibition space costs £1000 for a full stand (including one free registration). Likewise, companies wishing to sponsor part of the conference are welcomed. The 2010 Annual Meeting of the British Association for Crystal Growth was held 5-7 September 2010 (Sunday to Tuesday) at the Manchester Conference Centre.

The meeting  commenced with registration and a drinks reception on Sunday 5 September and finished in the afternoon of Tuesday 7 September. A conference banquet was held in the evening of Monday 6 September.

Alongside plenary, invited and contributed lectures the Conference  included

  • The BACG Annual General Meeting
  • The presentation of the BACG Annual Lecture
  • The BACG Young Scientist award.

The 2010 meeting specially recognised the scientific work of Professor Roger Davey of the University of Manchester.  In 2009 the BACG appointed Professor  Davey as its President and the meeting was held in honour of his scientific work in the field of nucleation and crystal growth.

The programme included sessions on:

  • Crystal Chemistry in Action: Industrial Crystallisation and Pharmaceuticals
  • Fundamentals of Crystal Growth
  • Crystallisation in Extreme Conditions
  • Nucleation and Growth of Inorganic Materials.
